Free BMTC Bus Pass

 

BMTC offers 1 year free bus pass for all labourers – enables them to travel all over city

2

Scholarship for Education

 

Intent is to encourage the kids to study well.  

Merit students will get additional benefits

Marriage Loan

 

Marriage loan of up to 1 lakh will be provided for self or for kids (2) marriage. 

The marriage has to be registered in the registrar office.

Maternity Benefits

An amount will be given to the family on the birth of the first 2 children

Boy Child (20,000 Rs) and Girl child (30,000 Rs).

Health Benefits

If any worker is having health issues and is admitted, they get some health benefits – some amount will be refunded.  Hospitals have to be as per the listed ones in the board and any of the government hospitals.

Injury Benefits

1.   If any worker is injured, they get up to 2 Lakhs benefit depending on the nature of injury.

2.   If any worker dies during work, their family gets up to 5 lakhs.

3.   If any worker is injured to an extent that he cannot continue the work permanently, there are benefits available.

Pension Benefit

After 60 years, a worker with labour card will get pension.

 

 Documents required for applying for Labour Card (online)  - 52 categories are covered:

  • Age Limit : 18 years to 56 Years old
  • Aadhaar Card : One Color copy and number must be linked with the mobile
  • Bank passbook              : Color  Copy of the first page                            
                (Account should be in the name of worker who is applying for the card)
  • Photo          : 1 Passport size Color  photo
  • Employment Certificate
  • Fee         :

List of Building and other construction works:

Construction, alteration, repairs, maintenance or demolition of or in relation to  buildings, streets, roads, railways, tramways, airfields, irrigation, drainage, embankment and navigation works, flood control works (including storm water drainage works), generation, transmission and distribution of power, water works (including channels for distribution of water), oil and gas installations, electric lines, wireless, radio, television, telephone, telegraph and overseas communication, dams, canals, reservoirs, water courses, tunnels, bridges, viaducts, aqua ducts, pipelines, towers, cooling towers, transmission towers.

Additional Construction Works: 

1.     Stone Work for road and building constructions excluding that covered under Mines Act 1952
2      Fixing of slabs / tiles in constructions
3.     Sewerage and plumbing work including UGD construction
4.     Electrical works including wiring, distribution, panel fixing etc
5.     Installation, fixing of cooling and heating systems
6.     Installation of lifts, escalators etc
7.     Installation of security gates
8.     Installation of Iron/metal grills, windows, doors
9.     Construction of water harvesting structures
10    Interior work for flowing, False Ceiling, wall paneling etc.
11    Installation of glass panels, ACP sheets, spider glazing during construction.
12    Installation of pre-fabricated concrete modules, concrete bricks, blocks, hollow blocks, tiles etc
13    Erection of signage, road furniture, bus shelters/ depots/ stands, signaling systems etc
14    Erection and installation of rotaries, Installation of fountains, Swimming pools in public parks and gardens
15    Earth work, earth spreading, levelling and earth cutting etc for construction purposes
16    Construction and erection of temporary shelters 
17    Construction and erection of film sets.
